sugoroku

Silk cultivation sugoroku
It is assumed that this sugoroku was made after 1892 from the fact that it was proofread by Yonekuma Miyoshi, who was then the headmaster of Chiisagata Sericulture industry School (current Ueda Higashi High School). The squares of this sugoroku game depict silk cultivation, yarn-making, and export of silk, vividly portraying people working toward personal and national prosperity.
